Kari Ness Riedel

Kari Ness Riedel was a mom of two boys, and the founder of Bookopolis.com, an online community made especially for 7- to 12-year-old readers to share reviews of their favorite books with friends and help them find new ones. It’s like Goodreads for kids with built in tools for educators and parents. Kari believes that there’s a perfect book for every kid. Kari was a longtime contributor to Brightly whose passion for children's books helped countless families discover books they love. She passed away in 2025, and we are deeply grateful for her contributions.
